A permanent force bonus that leads to self-straightening...

Strong card indeed.

Seeing that many of the dark virtues does seem playable right now, this is indeed a pretty good character for pure military decks.

The low personal honour does keep him away from switch honour and such though. It's cool to have options.

I think he's sweet.  Self straitening off of stuff you've used can't be bad.

I think my only issue with this guy is that the Dark Virtues are rare and I gave a few to a friend for his spider deck heh

He looks like Iago from the movie based on the play play "Othello" Wink

I like this guy, especially with the new box's ability.  Self-straightening also opens up to all manner of additional tricks (like the ones you see in a lot of Pony decks).

I would say this guy has a shot at being good. I wouldn't use him, but then I don't run a lot of Dark Virtues. He might be good in a deck like Quark's Aggro-Control.

Btw, nice art.

And nice art by Glen Osterberger, who did what were, in my opinion, two of the worst pieces of art in E&JC.

Also, does anyone else think that this fellow looks like Bylar Crais?  I ask mostly because the esteemed Shawn Carman uses Bylar Crais as his avatar on the AEG boards.

Yes he does. I met that actor at DragonCon a couple years ago, not too friendly of a guy, not a jerk, just an unhappy person.

I wouldn't use him in my control deck, especially since the only Dark Virtue I am currently running is Control.  Control is probably the only Dark Virtue you would not want Katsutoshi to be performing.

I can see some potential for him but I wouldn't run him in control. There are already too many choices for personalities in my control deck. Military has some use out of him if I am running Insight, Determination and possibly Strength or Perfection but I will have to see how things go when I get on to testing that.

Dark Virtues stink. shourido stinks. this guy (not This Guy) stinks. won't use him in my decks, ever.

but those who don't mind going a little tainty/shourido-y sometimes should be happy with him.
