bleh, I'm mildly dissappointed with this one. It may not be fair to compare him to Robun since Robun is Lion, not Dragon, but that being said, Robun sure makes this guy look weak imo

I'm mostly disappointed with the fact that his action has a cost, where as Matsu Robun's doesn't and this guys is kind of high and does ~not~ mesh with his first ability (you have to do jank MCF as stated) I suppose if you didn't use his destroy a weapon ability he'd be pretty good though, I was mostly looking at that.

jeesh, you are correct sir, I've been quite the fool to speed read card text. The destroy part in retrospection now is actually great as there's a few people in my area that like to use "bow atatchment tech".

This way you can use it with a bowed item - you just have to destroy it.

5F before you add in the weapons bonus so for 4 extra gold he can take most provinces and you could use his ability two turns (yours and theirs) in a row.

i'm working from preview to preview, but it seems like we'll be able to tie the crabs for force.

I'm not particularly impressed by him, especially as a nonunique rare, but I'll probably give him a try and see what happens.

He would be more interesting if he were not rare, but like Quark says there is no harm in trying him out. Likewise, he might get better if the Kensai keyword has more support.

From a Lion perspective, this guy is amazing. 4F and 3PH for 7G is awesome, cost-wise. I think the only possible downside to him is the lack of another trait, like Magistrate or Duelist, but y'all have plenty of those. And seeing as a reusable way of destroying attachments isn't too terribly bad, I'd give this guy a big thumbs up.

Real question is how many good Weapons are there out there?

I actually like this guy. For 7 gold(5) we got a 4F guy, not that common lately and high Force is good for the new str, who is 5F with a weapon ( will be probably more counting the Weapon bonus) and destroys attachements. Not bad.

And if they pop out another Kensai or two, it'll make Brisk economy almost an auto-include:
