Potentially unworkable, but what about cards that change under different strongholds? We've *almost* got it with the new gempukku boxables ...

The text box just isn't large enough for something like this to work.  Also, what happens when another stronghold is added?  Even having a guy work specifically for 2 strongholds would be pretty rough if you want him to very feasible by having an effective ability or something.  Nice idea in principal, just wouldn't work in practice.

Personally, I don't mind some personalities that only work with individual strongholds provided they don't get out of hand.  Take Tamori Emina and Noriko for example.  Like Toraizo, they work far better out of a particular box but still have certain capabilities that let you use them out of other boxes if you wished to.  If we get 5 personalities though that have to go out of the the MST box, then we have problems.  With Toraizo though, if you run him out of a stronghold other than MFC, it just means you're running 2 Seikitsu Mountains instead of one, which isn't so bad considering how awesome that region is anyway.

My problem with Toraizo isn't so much that he's best out of one stronghold, but that there are no good Mountains to trigger him off of for an honor deck (where his PH and HR suggests he'd like to go).

Seikitsu Mountains is solid, if unspectacular, for a military deck.  However, two copies of Seikitsu Mountains still doesn't make Toraizo anything other than a coaster out of non-MFC boxes.
