Congratulations for the win! Just one question: what is your gameplan against Spider Breeder? All of your actions can only kill 1 of their peeps and you have no Limited control to take care of their Fatinas.

i thought the same, but i think he will become like a dragon now on celestial, dont forget that he is a 2x1, and his chikara token its nice for actions like surprising, WtC or stay your blade.

How did you find Seppun Blade compared to Tsi Blade? Was it better to use it as a Battle Action rather than the Reaction of Tsi Blade.

Was Yoritomo Utemaro purely a meta choice?

First of all, congratulations on the win.  Smiley I'm so happy that the Dragon would be a part of the final battle against the Doof in the coming fiction because of your win.

I know it's the end of SE, but if it isn't too much to ask, are you going to post a tournament report?  Grin MFC KOTEI WIN = AWESOME.

Thanks for the support, I do appreciate it.  I'll try to answer everyone's questions as they come up.

Just one question: what is your gameplan against Spider Breeder? All of your actions can only kill 1 of their peeps and you have no Limited control to take care of their Fatinas.

The Spider match is fine if you get a reasonable start.  Spider takes time to set up; if you can snag a province or two early you gain enough momentum that they don't have the time.  Assuming they're running Black Silk, it's important to Imperial Command your own guys to ensure they can't use their stronghold ability early game.

Ideally, you put enough pressure on them that they're forced to block with their Fatina/Jinsei/Saleh or they lose.  Be sure to take advantage & kill their blocker when you've got the chance.

Doomed is a better movement card (and if I'd had it instead of Beloved I would have won my round 2 vs the Mantis) but the 2FV is actually the primary reason.  My luck with focus pools is incredibly poor if I go above 6 cards with FV less than 3.  You do need the Limited action on Beloved in the Phoenix honor match though (I took out some of my honour meta for this tournament guessing that the environment would be military-heavy).

Oishi is amazing.  Remember, off of Morning Frost, you're actually buying 12F for 9 gold and that assumes you have no attachments.  Even if you've only got Seppun Blade you're looking at 16F worth of attackers with Oishi plus a built-in kill action and a spud to redirect nastiness to.

Seppun Blade - 4FV, Tsi Blade - 3FV.  Beyond my focus-value Nazi-ism, I like the reaction better for getting the card immediately but I tend to share my attachments so often I'd almost never get to use a Tsi Blade anyways.  The upside of Seppun Blade is that it will work if you move into a battle after assignment (assuming its straight) say via Unpredictable Strategy.  It also counts towards Ring of Water Cheesy.

Utemaro was an anti-Crab call that wasn't needed in the end (I'd have been better off with more Pony meta).  Although the one game where I got to do a Naval First & Final Strike was pretty cool  Cool.

Tournament report is in the works; I was somewhat lazy after getting home from the kotei.
