Rising Sun Blade

+6F/+1Chi

8G

Weapon

Battle: Bow this card: Destroy a target enemy card without attachments and with 5 or lower force.

3 FV

"Contain yourself, Shimura-san," Kei replied.  "The empire relies on us to hold the north, and bloodlust shall not sweep away our sense of duty."

Up the the 30 day countdown.  Very careful to get the text right this time - the image is definitely not unique.  Seems intended for Kensai.  It's expensive, but time will tell if it's over-priced.  Really, really lays the smack-down with Yarijutsu.  The art is at the standard of the best of the clan weapons, it's really worth a look.

This card I can say that although expensive, is very cost efficient.. Too bad that although it is costs efficient.. It is still way too expensive for a Weapon to have.. Anyways, cool art! I wish I had this kind of blade in our RPG before.. And the flavor text? Looks like we have an Angry Dragon! Hehehe!

Ah the makings of a great character.. And don't forget! He's a DAIMYO! Good luck Tamoris! Try not to disobey him.. OK?

On the sidenote, I just hate it when a card like this get's removed by 1 gold Rout..

I carry two blades! looking great for Kensai using this.  Especially when they rout a far smaller weapon and you bounce something giant like this back into play.  I'm starting to like the look of this card.  $20+ each for Secluded Outpost is, however, putting me off.

Another weapon that has to bow for its ability. It looks great stat-wise however.

I'll probably treat this as a one of...
it's ability is almost a mini yarijutsu in and of itself...
Very expensive though... might be worth getting a playset except it's rare...

Sad   dissapointing, far too expensive to limit its ability, there are several followers around this gold cost that kill a card w/o attachments and w/o bowing. rout is 1 gold, destroys this and sends me away. i like that it's not unique but they still have a long way to go with kensai. commanders have alot of follower recursion and followers are far superior to weapons in every way. it's a real shame cause i really like the concept of kensai, they are just not playable unless you make a military/duel that doesn't actually rely on kensai actions.   Undecided

the artwork is amazing, i've had that piece saved to my pc for awhile now hoping it'd be a clan weapon or something cooler for us over other clans, love the artwork and the flavor text

Is the artwork freely available on the net?  My desktop needs a new background.

Ok nice stats nice action. Not expesvive but since there are few ways to recycle weapon it cannot be recycled. It's more expenxsive than the kensai carring it LOL LOL LOL

I bet anyone who wants to play this non-Unique Weapon in a Dragon deck is bound to use both War Encampment and Secluded Outpost. But I like it.
Note than our lovely new Tactician Ryu can break a 8 PS province with it without using his trait, and even our little Kuroki can break a 7 PS :p

And awesome art, too Smiley

Yes, it is expensive, but look at all of those big Followers with printed kill actions - 7G for 4F, 8-9G for 5F, etc.  You don't get a 6F attachment with a printed kill action without paying a lot for it.

I do, however, wish it didn't bow for its action.

I feel this card is awesome and it looks like something I'll be using myself.  *drools *

8G is expensive... but +6F... so nice.  I'm not too worried about bowing the weapon. Force bonus still applies and you can always straighten the unit with Slow Death.  Bow weapon for kill, bow Personality for Kami Unleashed, then straighten them with Slow Death.

I actually like the 8 gold cost, just not the efficiency with this environment. If it's focus value was 4 and it didn't bow to do it's ability or it's only kill restriction was attachments, then I be ethusiatic about this card. But for now the thing I like most is the artwork.  Embarrassed

I think Secluded Outpost has already been mentioned more than once.  If you have two or three of those ( I only have one unfortunately ) then 8G is not so expensive.  If you are bringing out satsu and paying the full eight gold, if you had two secluded outposts out that pays for the personality and the weapon.  One of those and a war encampment deals with the weapon, essentially meaning you pay ten gold for a big personality with a big hitty stick.

Guessing now that Kensai's might seem a little more popular.  If nothing else, the two attachment ability must be useful with big attachments like this one.  A Master of Air to unbow a holding wouldn't do any harm in such a deck either maybe...
