Scouting Far Afield

Kensai Action?
Dakotsu or any Kensai that has been targeted with plains of Resolution could use this to retrieve a yarijutsu or an obfuscation or any key action... pretty good rare... Onis and Zerkers could also capitalize on this...

I think it's a move to hang on to till the last moment, cuz I wouldn't want my kensai unit with weapons and all to be bowed...
Of course those cards you mentioned work, but that is only a few which makes this strategy a bit situational...

Yeah, it's very situational but useful... reminds me of Unshakeable from SE and we do have a lot of straighten tech in weapon form like our celestial Daisho and Chain and Sword... just another card to consider...

Damn ! This card is a bit strange but getting back strategies from discard pile is always strong. Sure it could help Kensais, but it may be really usefull in a monk deck too. Cold Hand BH, give them the 6F. Take back (as an example) a learn by doing ... play it again during the extra action, gain 3F draw a card  Shocked

Not as if our monks wasn't accustomed to be bowed ... by the way, you may also destroy a bowed monk, or a Low stanced one.

IMHO, it worth the test.

Its crying out to be used with Mirumoto Dakotsu.

Are there any other CE cards that let you apply force if bowed?

Laughter of the flame, Togashi shunoken (straightens in fact), Plains of resolution, ... probably not exhaustive.

But any card wich straightens the performer could  fit.

Exactly.

Our monks have heaps of straighten, love bonus actions, have a problem with hand depletion, and can hit 6 force in their sleep.

This will likely make it into at least some Monk builds (1 or 2 copies), and possibly even Kensai decks.

My favorite card from this new set.

I like it with Scout Armor in Standard-POV, seeing as how Scout Armor's +2F turns the entire 4F monk base into 6F.

The kinda crazy part is that the action is returned to hand and forgets card memory so you can play the same action over and over in a single turn.

It also works well with dueling since the dueling mechanic will quickly create a large discard pile so you have a large pool of cards to select from (aside from playing lethal duels twice).

All good points.

I revise my opinion of it.  I thought it was 'good to very good', but now it seems 'great to awesomesauce'.

Two copies of this, and a few guys that are big enough, and that's RoV, right?

Even in your average military deck with a couple of copies of Plains of Resolution, this is very solid.  Works great with Dakotsu and Laughter of the Flames.  Good focus value to boot.  I think this card is going to be very popular.

EDIT:  Also, tack on ANOTHER reason for people to play Swift Counterattack...  That card's stock has been going up quite a bit lately.

That seems like it should work.

This card is going to sell for quite a bit.
